Augmented Autonomy

Let your robots work alone.
Take back your time—with full confidence.

With Augmented Autonomy, Naïo Technologies’ robots operate without in-field human supervision, under validated and secure conditions.
This breakthrough innovation addresses real-world needs: freeing up time, coping with labor shortages, and ensuring consistent, high-quality results, without compromising safety.

What Augmented Autonomy means for you

Real time savings

While the robot works autonomously in validated zones, you can focus on higher-value tasks: marketing, equipment maintenance, farm planning…

Consistent and precise interventions

Thanks to RTK positioning and GPS guidance, the robot follows its path with high accuracy—allowing for more frequent passes and optimal weeding performance.

Soil-friendly and environmentally responsible

Fully electric and lightweight, Naïo robots minimize soil compaction and fuel use. They handle a variety of field conditions—even on challenging terrain.

The Foundations of Naïo Technology

Shared responsibility owned by Naïo

Unlike other manufacturers, Naïo retains full responsibility for the robot when operating in Augmented Autonomy mode. Liability is not transferred to the customer. This is a clear, conscious commitment to user support and trust.

Tailored training

Hands-on training is provided by Naïo experts or certified dealers, ensuring safe, smooth, and autonomous robot operation.

Certified safety

Augmented Autonomy complies with the EU Machinery Directive and carries the CE mark. The system includes safety features like automatic shutdown if the robot exits its defined area.

“Today I see a de-vining tool that works flawlessly in Augmented Autonomy. Naturally, we’re thinking of expanding it to other implements.”

RENAUD FRIEDERICH, DOMAINE DU GIBEAU (17)

What it looks like in the field

Field assessment

Before activating Augmented Autonomy, a Naïo technician or certified dealer evaluates your plots to determine which zones are eligible. If certain areas present unresolved risks, the robot will switch to supervised mode.

A virtual fence for secure boundaries: Geofencing

Each robot uses GPS-based geofencing to stay within designated boundaries. If it crosses the virtual fence, it stops automatically to protect people and property.

Long-term support

  • Initial training to activate autonomy safely
  • Technical hotline for ongoing questions
  • Field visits to optimize use over time

“Due to the increasing shortage of skilled labor, ORIO provides—through Augmented Autonomy—an automated solution for seeding and repetitive tasks like weeding.”

DIDIER TISON, CEO AXIOTEQ, SOUTH AFRICA

A Proven Technology

Awarded Gold Medal at VINITECH-SIFEL Innovation Awards 2024, Augmented Autonomy is already in use on farms in France and internationally.

Bringing deeper meaning to agricultural work

This innovation reflects Naïo’s founding vision:
Let machines handle the repetitive and painful tasks, so people can refocus on what truly matters maximizing productivity, evolving their operations, or simply spending more time with family.

Available Now

Augmented Autonomy is a reliable, real-world solution already deployed across the full Naïo robot fleet.
It opens the door to greater automation—better, safer, and with peace of mind.
